FRAMING THE KING AND QUEEN OF ENGLAND

We were recently commissioned by Government House, Adelaide, to frame two lithographs made in 1946 by Sir Gerald Festus Kelly (1879-1972) - His Majesty King George VI and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother).  The lithographs were signed by the subjects - "George R" and"Elizabeth R".

An elegant gold leaf frame and slip were chosen, along with three 100% cotton matboards - two 4ply and one 8ply.  The bevels of the 8ply mounts were gilded in 24k gold leaf.  The pieces were glazed with Tru Vue Museum Glass for 99% UV protection and complete clarity.
